Your responsibilities will be to:

  • Review Junior Accountant’s account reconciliations as needed  
  • Improve upon and own the accounts payable, corporate card management, and employee expense processes
  • Improve upon and develop month-end close schedules and processes 
  • Maintain adequate documentation and records of close  
  • Assist with preparation of monthly reporting package with the ability to provide insight into the flux analysis
  • Prepare journal entries and prepare reconciliations for accounts such as benefits, fixed assets, prepaids, accrued expenses and intercompany reconciliations
  • Develop accounting policies and procedures and implement internal controls for areas of responsibility
  • Perform review to guarantee accuracy and compliance with GAAP and ensure we are ready for our first-year external audit 
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of all payroll reporting in General Ledger 
  • Support external audit and miscellaneous reporting requirements
  • Research technical accounting issues and draft accounting position memos as necessary
  • Review company contracts for proper treatment under US GAAP
  • Train junior team members on technical accounting matters
  • Assist in managing service provider relationships including audit, tax, and outsourced operational and technical accounting 
Role requirements
  • Advanced English skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 3 – 5 years of accounting experience 
  • Minimum of 2 years of auditing experience
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.)
  • Experience with QuickBooks and various accounting SaaS platforms is preferred
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a high level of attention to detail
  • Strong ability to work in a rapid change environment and be willing to actively participate in projects to process improvements
  • Purposeful with the ability to prioritize and oversee multiple tasks in order to meet deadlines
  • Ability to correlate operational change with financial impact
